Trix and Robert Haussmann
For the collection H-Design for Mira-X, launched in Milan and Paris, Trix (b. 1933) and Robert (b. 1931) Haussmann collaborated with Alfred Hablützel (b. 1931) to transfer illusionism and trompe l’oeil effects to textile design. Stone carving, coffers, fluting, paving, and slate claddings appear on printed fabrics as faux marble, faux wood, or grisaille, while other patterns are woven directly using various techniques—jacquard, piqué, matelassé, or damask.
