Nature motifs are expressed creatively using different materials and techniques. While human proportions are freely interpreted in avant-garde figural depictions, textile works highlight specific organic properties or distort them in decorative fashion. Heads or flowers are multiplied to create an ornamental pattern, or magnified to dominate the composition. In the meantime, in the field of sculpture startling realism stands side-by-side with more unconventional interpretations. (Sabine Flaschberger)
