The Zurich rock band UnknownmiX (1983–1992) mixed rock, pop, techno, and minimal music with noise and animal sounds to create a radical urban sound that interacted with projected images in live shows. The initial group included singer Magda Vogel, Ernst Thoma as audio engineer, the percussionist Knut Romain, and the designer Hans-Rudolf Lutz (1939–1998). Lutz designed all the cassette and record covers, along with printed matter and advertising material for the band. He also created the visuals for the live performances.
